Proverbs 14:12 “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, But the end thereof are the ways of death.”
It is so easy to become sidetracked by the things of this world. This world and the evil thereof are continuously warring against the knowledge of God attempting to displace Him as the focus of your life. If this occurs, it is like a ship losing its view of the Lighthouse that keeps it safe and moving in the correct direction.
There is a way that seems right, but the end is malicious and deadly! When the devil gets your attention, he keeps it longer than you could imagine! We tend to rely on our personal life experiences over that of the Word and faith is damaged. Will your experience override your Theology; or will your Theology override your experience?
Theology: the study of the nature of God and religious belief can only be achieved through studying the scriptures; and can only be experienced through a personal relationship with Christ. Experience: practical contact with and observation of facts or events and can only be achieved through experiential living. Facts change and so worldly experience also changes.
What is your experience? What well are you drawing your vision from? Are you allowing events of this world to interfere and nullify God’s holy promises and truths? Do you tend to disbelieve and set aside scripture? Does scripture hold less value because of your experience?
I want to remind you of this promise from our loving God: Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Valid Experience can only be found in Christ
Galatians 5:16 “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. Worldly things will cause you to lose your desire and passion for the Lord.” Stand strong in the fortress of God’s promises. He never fails.
I miss you guys. Will probably have to catch y’sll in the air lol.
