Romans 8:29 “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.”
Do you know Jesus the living Son of the living God? Not know of Him but know Him through a personal relationship? John 10: 14 “I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.” Have you spent time in His word, spoke with Him today and attend worship at every opportunity?
II Timothy 2: 19 “Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”
Please do not run toward sin.
I believe it is plain before our eyes. If you have surrendered your life to the Lord and not merely accepted Him as Saviour, there are actions based on what you believe that confirm a repentant heart willing and rather prefer to have the mind renewed through the Word and a personal relationship with Christ. Salvation is not just a prayer repeated. Salvation is a lifestyle. It is a change of heart, a change of mind and a change of behavior; for there is no salvation without repentance and repentance is turning away from your previous life to live fully like Christ!
James 4:7 “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” Yes, we are weak and fragile flesh, yet, we have Christ Spirit within. We will undoubtedly fall but our Lord will restore us if we go to Him. But we get stronger when we pay more attention to God then we do the enemy.
In this life in Him you and I will ultimately be transformed by His precious Holy Spirit. We will be different because of our encounter with a Holy Lord. You can say you love God all you want, but it is the actions made manifest of the heart that declare whose you are!
