Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
Expectations are strong beliefs or ideas that something will happen, or standards of how someone should behave. We, as Christians. Believe our Lord when He said, 2 Corinthians 9:8 “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.” We are assured of His finishing what He started in us for His glory!
A wise man once said, “Expectancy is the breeding ground for miracles!” I believe this and know it to be true. Another wrote of the “Battlefield of the Mind” and that battlefield is a breeding ground. Something will be born and it is up to what we believe! Another said, “If you believe you can or if you believe you cannot, you are correct!” You see, we will do and if fact, are presently displaying to the world what we truly believe. What are you allowing to fill your mind? What is it you are dwelling on? We confess that we trust the Lord Jesus Christ, but our actions tell on us…and people are watching.
If we would meditate on the Word of God, we would have a different outlook on life. We would find peace and contentment that is not found in the things of this world. God has the best in mind for you and I. Just as the water and everything in it to sustain the life of aquatic life was created before fish were entered in; our God placed us into a place of supply before we were even born!
Stop walking around looking at everyone’s shoes! Hold your head up and smile brightly because you have heard the voice of God and answered Him. He will stablish you to bring Him much glory. When you asked Him into your life, He put you on like a wet suit! He will not overlook Himself in you. He will use your talents, heart and life itself for the establishment of His glory in another!
Say it out loud: “I believe Him and my God is enough! I have everything I need to glorify His holy name in my world!” Now go and tell someone else just how good your God is!
