GNB – Psalm 1:1 “Happy are those who reject the advice of evil people, who do not follow the example of sinners or join those who have no use for God. 2 Instead, they find joy in obeying the Law of the LORD, and they study it day and night. 3 They are like trees that grow beside a stream, that bear fruit at the right time, and whose leaves do not dry up. They succeed in everything they do. 4 But evil people are not like this at all; they are like straw that the wind blows away. 5 Sinners will be condemned by God and kept apart from God’s own people. 6 The righteous are guided and protected by the LORD, but the evil are on the way to their doom.”

The above passage is longer than usual for a purpose.  That purpose is in the supernatural ability of the Holy Spirit to implant God’s holy Word deeply into the hearts of the reader and or listener.  That this unequaled Word seed would spring forth in the hearer/reader and cause an eternal change from the inside out.

There is a definite plan in existence for people according to the Bible.  That plan is to sift individuals into two camps.  One camp rests in the blessings of a loving Father while the other trembles in fear of the One whose righteous judgment and wrath will be fully displayed throughout eternity.

Some theologies lead people to believe that the God of the Old Testament is a mean, judgmental; killer that hates people…this is not the case!  He is holy and loving, (remember that family is His idea); filled with grace and mercy.  Yet, He also possesses justice and wrath!

Remember that the God that we serve is the same God written about in the Old Testament or Covenant.  He is immutable…He changes not!

He is not dual natured; He is the sum of the declaration concerning Him in all of the Word!  He is One God seated high on a righteous throne!  Nothing is out of His sight.  The Bible states that the God that watches over Israel neither sleeps nor slumbers.
