Wait on the Lord

II Corinthians 5:7 “(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)”

We are admonished by the Lord to walk or live by faith or live by and according to His word of promise.  Anxiety is a crisis of faith! Anxiety is the feeling of unease, worry, and apprehension. Anxiety shows that the person has not yet been able to put full trust in God, because fear itself is something that is meant to be relinquished as every person is meant to be part of God’s plan.

There must be new information inserted into your thoughts to conduct yourself contrary to God’s Word!  II Corinthians 10: 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” Sometimes it is easy to forget that we are engaged as an occupation force in the stead of Christ in this world. Our minds are constantly attacked to keep us off balance and not focused on the Lord and His word of truth. When we are not focused, we are not submitted and when we are not submitted, the enemy has his terrible way with our minds!

Galatians 5:16 “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.”  If you walk by faith, your feelings will follow.  If you walk by feelings, your faith will be hollow. Waiting on God is the special process through which the Lord causes our eyes to turn to Him for help in time of need. He is ever present in our times of need.

Isaiah 40: 31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”  Waiting on the Lord is expectant trust and hope in God’s movement and activity. Waiting is beneficial because it tries our faith, exercises our patience, and trains submission! Remember that expectation is the breeding ground for miracles!

Be resolute, be strong and press on and trust God and His process!
