Acts 1: 8 “But ye shall receive power after the Holy Ghost is come upon you; and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
The courtroom is in session. The enemy is the prosecuting attorney and Jesus is our Defender. Your testimony is called upon…what will you say? Most of the time I have found that many have no testimony to speak of, or they become shy about what they have witnessed of Christ!
Jesus sent the Holy Ghost that we may be bold and effective witnesses! Revelation 12: 11 “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” Our testimony puts the adversary in his place and enforces the defeat he suffered at Calvary. The devil has been doomed, defeated, and destroyed more than 2000 years ago. The war has been won; that is why we were called to occupy till He comes. Occupation is what a victorious army does when the war has been won! We are called to inform others of this great victory of Christ! Have you?
Someone’s life is hanging in the balance and our testimony, or witness is the determining factor in their decision to follow Jesus too. The adversary is talking loud and proud about how he has shown them to be a loser, low life, worse than the worse. But Jesus reaches out and tell the truth…that they are loved so much and were born for a purpose. Sometimes we may feel like our experience with Jesus is minimal. The devil is a LIAR! No relationship with Jesus is minimal! He meets us right where we are and begins the walk with us. The small changes turn into big changes, and Jesus always finishes the good work He starts!
What is your witness to the Lordship of Jesus? Have you received healing? Salvation? Deliverance? Have you witnessed any of these things in others? If so, you must talk about it! Tell someone how great the Lord Jesus is today. Go tell it on the mountain! Be confidant that the Lord is more than able to save a ‘nobody’ and turn them into a passionate witness of His Lordship.
Remember, the court is in session but Jesus has won! Go tell the story!
