Luke 22: 42-44 “Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.  And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.”

In this passage, Jesus was coming into a place of real human decision.  His humanity cried out to Father God.  His humanity cried out to His Divinity.  A struggle that we can understand.  After all, who would want to die for the vilest person you have ever known?  Yet, Jesus brought His humanity under the dominion of His Divinity and into full agreement with the Godhead.

We who have been born again have the same struggle each day and, at times, by the minute!  The struggle is real and often violent.  The adversary is bent on killing you, destroying your family and dreams.  We are in a fight for our minds, wills and emotions!  The soulish realm has been battered and torn by divorce, trauma and strife.  Sedatives are prescribed at record rates and the anguish persists.  The world continues to spin, and change is sure.  What is the answer?  Jesus!

The answer to the problems of the world is Jesus.  A famous preacher has said, “The heart of the human problem is the problem with the human heart.”  How true that is.  We want change without offering our ‘reasonable sacrifice’ to the Lord.  We struggle, just like Jesus in the garden, against the Divinity and supremacy of Christ in the born-again life.  Please remember that peace was the result when the humanity of Jesus surrendered to the Divinity of Christ!

The soul governs the body.  When you cannot think when your mind is weary your body has no restraint.  The biggest proof is overeating or nervous eating.  Getting unnerved causes many manifestations of uneasiness.  Surrender you whole life to Jesus; only then, will you be able to receive the ministering of the Spirit and the promised peace of God.  Even in the storm, He will give you this Peace.

Place yourself under the righteous Right Hand of the Lord God.  He will help you according to the Covenant which guarantees Protection, Provision and Companionship.  Of course, an eternal home with Him in heaven is our reward.  Surrender to Him and stop fighting what is best for you.
