Romans 12: 1 “I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye give up your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable serving of God.”
There is a great revival spreading across the world today that is causing men and women to give thanks to God for their victories and awards and no one questions the heart or the Spirit to determine truth.
Not many years ago a famous rap artist recorded an album that had a Christian message and this individual was accepted and immediately ‘ministered’ in the churches of well known pastors throughout America. This ‘star’ even turned their concerts into services with hundreds of thousands attending. Not one asked where they attended worship or who was mentoring them! Just blind acceptance; it seems Jesus is a money maker! However, we are commanded in 1 John 4:1 “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” Seek to glorify God alone.
The year is passed and our fresh start is in front of us. Are we looking for something new while doing the same old things? Something must change for something to change! The above scripture is for you and I not just at the end or beginning of the year but every day. Our reasonable service is not making it to worship on the two big days but whenever the door is open. Jesus is worthy of our worship.
We have been called to go into the ‘highways and byways to compel them’ to come in to the Kingdom of God. It is time for you and I to dream a big dream, one so large that it must include God to bring it to fruition! II Corinthians 5: 17-20 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.” We are called to be ministers of reconciliation and cannot fulfill this command without surrendering ourselves totally to God. Your county is dependent upon His faithful servants bearing witness to the remarkable work of Christ at Calvary!
Dream the dream of your county transformed by the redeeming power of Jesus Christ. Surrender yourself and say yes to the Lord’s desire to use you. Begin with a small yes…He will transform it into huge victories and God will receive full glory! March on in Jesus’ name!
